New Blog

Well . . . I finally broke down and created a new blog for our family.  I have been wanting to do this for some time now.  Here is the link to our new blog:  Our Family  Stop by and visit us!

I Should Know Better . . .

I should know better . . .  when it's really quiet in the house, I should know that someone is up to something.  I was cleaning out the fridge today when I heard Hayden gasp.  I ran around the corner to find this:

I put 3 bottles of paint on the top stair with intentions to take them down to the basement the next time I went down.  Well . . . some little turkey got into them and had paint everywhere.  I guess he is getting all the "terrible two's" out of him.  Hopefully so!  He has been so naughtly lately!  I am starting to think I need "Super Nanny" to come and help me.
He tells me "No!" and hits all the time.  When I ask him to do something, he says,  "Why?".  We go through this all day long.  He has his only little language and I can't understand him all the time.  If I ever say,  "What?", then he yells it at me.  I'm ready for the terrible twos to leave!  Hopefully three will be better.

I made Keaton help clean up the mess and he was so proud!  Thank goodness he kept most of the paint on the tile and kept it off of the carpet.  I guess he did something right while creating this mess.  I was painting some frames yesterday and he kept telling me he wanted to paint.  I told him no, I guess he showed me.  He can be such a cutie, but so defiant at times.  What a little turkey!

Happy June!

Happy June!  I can't believe it's June already!  It definitely does not seem like June around here!  Lot's of rain and not too warm!

My baby Keaton is turning 3 on the 13th!  I cannot believe he is already turning 3!  He has grown up so fast!  He is a hoot!  He loves to do whatever the older boys are doing!  Funny how he picks up things they do.  He loves to pitch, catch and bat!  He loves riding his scooter like a maniac out in the circle.  I swear one day he is going to biff it and it won't be pretty!  He loves watching Sponge Bob Square Pants and likes trying to play Guitar Hero!  What a funny kid!

The last day of school was on Thursday.  The weather has been crazy, so it does not seem like school is over for us!  Usually it is so hot you can't stand it.  We don't have alot of plans for the summer, just more organizing our new home and we want to do some painting.  We also want to get our yard under way.

Hayden is still playing baseball and will finish next week.  He has been pitching and really likes that!

Jackson's baseball league is over, but has been invited to play on the Taylorsville High Sophomore Baseball Team for the summer.  He is really excited about that!  Jackson will also attend a Taylorsville High Basketball Camp with the THS Basketball Team all next week.  I can't believe Jackson is going to be a Freshman next year.  Wow, where does the time go?

Anyway . . . I still have more blogging to do about my brother-in-law's return from Iraq, the boy's awards from the end of school and Mom's retirement party.  Always lots to do!

I hope everyone's summer is off to a great start!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAYDEN!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAYDEN!
I can't believe my little Hayden is 9 years old today!  It's been a great 9 years!  I am so proud of you and love you tons!

We celebrated Hayden's birthday last Friday night.  Hayden invited some of his friends over.  We took them to see the movie "Speed Racer" and then came back and had pizza and opened presents!  It was fun!

On Sunday, we had our families over to celebrate Hayden's birthday as well as Mother's Day.  Jason cooked dutch oven potatoes and chicken for everyone!  It was yummy and we had a great time together!
